About Us

UP School was founded by my husband, Keith, and myself, Lee Barnett.  We both received our Bachelor degrees from The University of Texas at Austin (HOOK 'EM) and Master degrees from University of Houston at Clear Lake.  We have spent over 25 years in education serving as teachers, coaches, counselors, administrators and technology specialists.

My Texas teaching certificates include pre-kindergarten through 8th grade, ESL, and principalship.  I have completed gifted and talented training and received Dyslexia Intervention Program training.

I believe that all children should love school and thrive in school.  UP School allows students to learn in an environment that is designed for them with a curriculum that is individualized to meet their needs.
